The New Aesthetic & New Media

I think I missed the class where the New Aesthetic was was discussed, so I’ve been browsing the web to learn more. I came across this TED video of James Bridle that I thought was great. I found what he had to say about publishing to be particularly interesting, regarding the embedded, encoded experience we have with physical, tactile books, versus the undefined cognitive associations with new media (e.g., e-books). (A bit reminiscent of “the medium is the message!”…)
