The “god’s eye view” that I mentioned in class that the other day was primarily inspired by this short here. I remember watching it a few months back and despite its brevity, the short film nevertheless leaves quite an impression to the audience due to its experimental camera angle. The “god’s eye view” is often used from time to time by cinematographers (for instance, one used in the early kitchen scene in “Kill Bill Vol. 1”) and directors in filmmaking, and its ability to objectify everything captured in the frame (including human beings) gives the viewers a detached, dispassionate view of what is happening on the screen. This is primarily being uploaded to provide a good example of what the “god’s eye view” is, and since our instructor has requested for the video.
